About the technology
Track systems for stretch ceilings are a modern solution for creating functional lighting, previously available only for drywall ceilings. There are two main types of tracks: single-phase and magnetic.
Fixtures in track systems can be easily moved along the rails, providing flexible lighting control at any time.
Single-phase tracks are more affordable, connect directly to 220V, and offer a limited selection of fixtures. Magnetic tracks, while more expensive, require a 48V power supply and feature recessed fixture mounting, giving them a sleek, modern look. They’re also safer due to the low voltage and power of LED light sources. Tracks can be installed in several ways: surface-mounted, suspended, or integrated into the stretch ceiling.
